Bengaluru, (IANS) Lenovo's K6 Power smartphone has been a hit on Flipkart with over 1,000 units reported to have been sold every minute after the sale went live.

The company said 45 minutes after the launch, the smartphone went out of stock.

Over 1.3 million customers visited the product page of K6 Power and close to half a million consumers showed interest in the product before the sale.

"With the launch of K-series in India, Lenovo continues to be one of the most preferred brands among our customers," said Ajay Yadav, Vice President (Mobiles) Flipkart.

Flipkart said it was working overtime to ensure stocks were back and planning a bigger comeback in the next sale scheduled for December 13 from noon onwards.

"Lenovo K6 Power has obviously struck the right chord with the consumers," said Sudhin Mathur, Executive Director, Lenovo Mobile Business Group, India.
