Bengaluru, (IANS) Myntra's fourth edition of End of Reason Sale (EORS) turned out to be a reason of joy for all. The e-commerce platform clocked over two million item orders by the end of the first day of the two-day weekend sale.

In the run up to the opening of the sale at 12 a.m. on Saturday, around Rs.700 crore worth of products were added to the EORS wish list -- a special feature offered for the event.

The wish list was offered for the first time for shortlisting of items to go on sale.

Myntra and EORS became the top-searched items on Google and Twitter, with search trends higher than Amazon during the same period, read a statement from Myntra.

Ananth Narayanan, CEO at Myntra, said: “The fourth edition of EORS has received phenomenal response so far. On the first day of the sale, we have seen installation of half-a-million apps and 25 million visits to our platform with two million product orders by the end of the day. We also exceeded the 20x daily sales target.”

Narayanan added that “sports category has been doing exceptionally well.”

He also shared that on the basis of “the current traction, we have also exceeded all of offline sales put together for the top men's and women's wear brands as well yesterday.”

EORS is on till Sunday.

It brings an unprecedented opportunity for shoppers across the country to buy the latest designs and styles from the world's leading brands. EORS breaks away from the traditional end of season sale format which usually last for six-to-seven weeks.
