10th anniversary of GVK EMRI 108 service celebrated

Mangaluru: The 108 emergency services in Dakshina Kannada celebrated its 10th anniversary in the district at Wenlock hospital recently.

The superintendent of Wenlock Hospital Dr H R Rajeshwari Devi inaugurated the celebrations with the cake cutting ceremony.

GVK EMRI (Emergency Management and Research Institute) is a pioneer in Emergency Management Services in India.

GVK EMRI Dakshina Kannada in-charge Mahabala presented the 10th year progress report. The district has a fleet of 26 ambulances including 5 advanced life support systems to respond to emergencies across the district.

Since its inception till July 31, 2018, GVK EMRI in DK district has attended around 1,74,832 police fire and medical emergencies, including 26,874 pregnancy related emergencies and 35,266 road traffic accident related emergencies.
