11 persons held in Jameel Karopady Murder case

Bantwal: Police have arrested 11 people in murder case of Jameel ,Vice President of Karopady Gram Panchayat police on April Saturday.

Addressing the press IGP Harishekharan on Saturday said, that five teams were formed by police under the guidence of SP Borase to nab the accused. They have been sucessful in arresting eleven persons and have confirmed the involment of underworld don Vicky shetty in the case. I

The murder took place in the Gram Panchayat Office on April 20. Some masked men barged into the office, threw chilli powder at Jameel’s eyes before attacking him with machetes. Police have siezed two bikes, one omni car and two machetes from accused.

The accused arrested are Rajesh Naik resident of Korapady, Narasimha Shetty resident of Mani, Prajwal Shetty resident of Belandoor, Pushparaj, Sachin resident of Savanoor, Keshava resident of Veerakamba, Puneeth resident of Savanoor, Prashanth resident of Krishnapura Surrthkal, Vachan, Roshan resident of Barepadi Puttur,and Sathish Rai resident of Kanyana
