Mangaluru: A total of 11 women were rescued and seven men arrested during raids on two massage parlours in Mangaluru by the CCB police on Wednesday. There has been an increase in illegal activities in massage parlour in Mangaluru.
Five women were rescued in the first raid on the Indian Sandal Ayurvedic Massage Parlour located at the second floor of a building at Kadri. The owners of the parlour, Pradeep Thokkottu and Reshma Hosabettu were arrested along with Chandranath Bokkapatna and Abhishek Mulihitlu who were said to be customers.
The rescued girls were in the 20 to 25 age group and hailed from different places in the city and Udupi. A cash of Rs 1500 was also seized during this raid. In the second instance, CCB police raided Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Therapy Clinic located on the first floor of a complex at KS Rao road.
