150 kgs of cow meat seized during illegal transportation

Kundapur: Huge quantity of cow meat which was illegally transported from Suratkal to Kundapur was seized by Kota police near Thekkatte check post on Wednesday, August 31.

More than 150 kilograms of cow meet has been seized. Imthiaz from Suratkal has been arrested and the 407 vehicle which was used to transport the meat has also been seized.

Cow meat filled in container boxes was being transported from Suratkal. Police personnel at Kota Murukai check post stopped the vehicle but the driver did not stop. Being suspicious, police stopped the vehicle again at Thekkatte check post. Upon checking, illegal cow meet was found in the vehicle.

Case has been registered in Kota police station.
