20-year-old drowns while swimming in dam water

Mangaluru: A 20-year-old student of a private college from the city drowned in water and went missing when swimming in dam water along with his friends on Tuesday April 19. The deceased is Anil, a student of a private industrial training institute in the city. He had gone to the dam at Moodushedde in the city outskirts along with his friends, Kiran, Dhanush, Roshan and Lancy on Tuesday evening.

When the four friends were swimming in the standing water, Anil suddenly drowned in the water and could not be found thereafter.The fire brigade personnel, who were informed of the incident, went to the spot and conducted elaborate search operation but did not succeed in finding the student.
