23-year-old dies after getting hit by train

Kasaragod: In a tragic incident, a Engineering student died after train hit him at Povval on Friday. The deceased is K R Vaishakh (23) of Thrissur. He was a student of Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Engineering in Povval.

Vaishakh was arriving at the railway station to catch a train on his way to his home city of Thrissur. While walking towards the station, he had plugged the earphones to listen to music and apparently it was loud. He could not hear the sound of the approaching train. Neither was he able to hear the shouts of caution from passersby to move away.

Severely injured, he was taken to a hospital but he was declared dead on arrival. The body was handed over the family members.
