25-year-old woman drowns in pond

Moodbidri: A young woman lost her life after she accidentally slipped and fell into a pond in the family’s arecanut farm on July 3, Sunday morning.

The deceased is Vinola Mendonca (25), daughter of Vincent Mendonca. Vinola had taken the cow for grazing. It is said that the cow went out of her control when she was holding the tether in order to tie it at another place.

While she was trying to calm down the animal, the tether cut off and Vinola who lost balance fell into the pond.

Moodbidri police have registered a case.
