Udupi: A 32-year-old woman identified as Usha who was married just a month ago, ended her life by hanging herself at her husband’s home at Karandadi near Kaup.
IUsha chose the extreme step by locking herself up in the room while her mother-in-law was busy cooking. The incident came to light when her husband Manohar who arrived home for lunch knocked at the doors of their room. When there was no response he peeped through the window only to find his wife hanging.
The door was immediately broken open and the police informed. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained. Kaup police are
investigating the case.
