38-year-old police head constable dies due to breathing problems

Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a 38-yar-old police head constable who was working at Mangaluru North police station, breathed his last on Sunday due to breathing problems. The deceased is Kiran Mangalpady. He is survived by wife and two sons.

Kiran had complained about breathing problems while he was on duty on February 19. Then he was taken to a private hospital for treatment. On Sunday afternoon, he breathed his last when he stopped responding to the treatment.

Kiran had served at Uppinangadi, Vittal, Kadri, Bantwal and Ullal police stations as constable. He was recently promoted as head constable and transferred to Mangaluru north police station. He also served as assistant investigator and writer. He was residing at Ullal police quarters.
