42-year-old rider dies in accident in Kinnigoli

Mangaluru: In an unfortunate head-on collision between two bikes at Panjinadka near Kinnigoli, one rider died on Tuesday, October 25.

The deceased is Ilyas (42) from Angaragudde . Another rider Rakshith Shetty (30) from Shimanthur has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru with serious injuries to legs and eyes.

Ilyas was coming in his bike from his relative’s house in Moodbidri towards Angaragudde. Rakshith was going to work at Wenlock hospital in Mangaluru. The bikes hit each other head-on in front of Shimanthur School. Both fell down on the road as a result, in pool of blood due to injuries.

People, who heard the sound of accident, came and tried to help both the victims. But Ilyas could not reach the hospital as he succumbed to injuries on the way.
