8-year-old saves her parents life

Mangaluru: Due to great presence of mind shown by 8-year-old girl, her parents were saved from drowning in a well. Pyari Jaan (23) had been near the well on finding that the pump was out of order. Just as she tried to repair the well, she slipped and fell into the well. Her husband Hussain (25) who was nearby also jumped into the well in order to save his wife.

The couple’s eight year old daughter Seema, who is a class two student , on realising that her parents had fallen into the well, immediately rushed to a nearby school and informed the shopkeeper about the incident. Bajpe police personnel as well as Kadri fire service personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the two with the help of locals.

The couple have suffered minor injuries. They were provided treatment at the local Primary Health Centre.
