A J Institute Dental Sciences hosts dental exhibition

Mangaluru: Indian Dental Association, Dakshina Kannada branch in association with department of public health dentistry, A J Institute of Dental Sciences on January 12 and 13 organised a 'Dental Exhibition' at A J Institute Dental Sciences.

It was an interschool and interdental collegiate competition on dental models where more than 30 teams from schools and colleges in and around the city participated.

Dr Shivsharan Shetty – president, IDA – DK branch, Dr Y Bharath Shetty – principal – A.J Institute of Dental Sciences and Dr Vijaya Hegde - HOD department of public health dentistry inaugurated the event.

In the interschool category - Canara High School (CBSE) won the first place and Lourdes Central School won the second place.

In the inter dental college category - Srinivas Dental College won the first place, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences stood second, while the third place was shared between Coorg Dental College and Srinivas Dental College.

Dr Shubham Alva - reader department of public health dentistry and Dr Prasanna Kumar Rao, treasurer, Dr Bharath Prabhu, CDE convenor of Indian Dental Association – DK branch were present.
