A Kemmannite bringing name and fame to Kemmannu in Chennai.

Recently SOUTH CANARA DRAVIDA BRAHMINS ASSOCIATION, MADRAS,® felicitated Mr. P. Narayana Bhat of Padukudru, Kemmannu, in recognition of his excellence and commitment for social, cultural and community services. Mr. Bhat is the son of Late P.Srinivas Bhat, (priest of Padukudru Sri Ganapathi mutt)& Smt. Janakiamma.

Dedication, sincerity, hard work, honesty, pleasing personality are his qualities. He did his primary education in Hindu Higher Primary School, Kemmannu, Highschool in Fisheries High school(now Govt Jr.College) Kemmannu. During S.S.L.C Late Sri T. A. Pai, then Chairman of Syndicate Bank presided over the school day annual celebrations and presented Mr. Bhat more than 13 prizes in various subjects & talents.  During college days (M.G.M.C Udupi) also Mr. Bhat participated in almost all events such as oratory, poetry, writing, debate, dramatics.  He was secretary of Akhila Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Udupi chapter.

After college he joined “UDAYAVANI” news paper as sub-Editor and worked for 20 months under the guidance of Shri. Bannanje Govinda Acharya. In 1972 he moved to Chennai.  For some time he tried his luck in hotel industry & wholesale distribution of medicines.  His real career started with an advertising company,”Bhat’s Advertising Services.”  He became the President of Tamilnadu Outdoor Advertising Association.  The first non-Tamilian  to occupy that place unanimously.

These are the various social activities of Mr.Bhat-Secretary and Vice President of Exnora for over 25 years and now chairman of its silver jubilee celebrations committee, chairman of golden jubilee celebrations of Karnataka Sangh, president of centenary year of South Kanara Dravida Brahmins Association (2011-12), president of Karnataka Sangh, honorary correspondent of its primary & higher secondary school, nominated president of “Samskara Bharathi” for the State of Tamilnadu.

His interest in all round personality development made him to study & teach subjects like hypnotherapy, transactional analysis, memory efficiency techniques, communication, alpha mind control, Thai-Chi, advanced yoga, pranayama, pranic healing & Reiki.

Mr.Bhat launched a neighborhood bilingual news paper in Bangalore “SUPPORTER,” similar to that of Annanagar Times. He had produced a Tamil T.V. serial “Manasu Mari Pochu,”which got the best TV serial award in 1991. He also works as Editor of Lions Bulletin, Hypnotique, Karavali Alegalu.
