Accused arrested in broad daylight harassment case

Mangaluru: The accused who had harassed a girl in the city in broad daylight has been arrested. The accused is Rizwan(29) from Jeppu. He was arrested on Friday.

Rashmi Shetty, a 22-year-old woman from Mangaluru pursuing MA in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions in Bihar, had posted on Facebook about alleged harassment by a youth in broad daylight in the central area of the city. The post spread in social media and it gained national acclaim

Two days after she posted online, the Mangaluru City Police filed a Suo Moto complaint in this regard and nabbed the accused.
