Udupi: The reunion of 1989 BCom batch of Poorna Prajna College was held at Hotel Ocean Pearl here on May 14.

The reunion witnessed happy and nostalgic voices of more than 50 students, as they came together from across the globe to recollect their memories and reconnect after 28 years.

The bunch of students spurred into action and brought all the old friends together under one roof after a long time. Introducing themselves to strike a closer rapport, many said unequivocally, "This is one of the greatest moments of our lives. We never thought of a reunion."

The highlight of the reunion programme was the presence of the retired teachers on the occasion. The lecturers present the occasion were Prof Ramadas, Prof N B Dixit, Prof Rajaram Shetty, Prof Radhakrishna Acharya, Prof Madhavi Bhandari, Prof Venugopala Mulleria, Prof Raj Mohan, Prof Sadashiva Rao and Prof Kishore Rao.

The proud particpants took this opportunity to pay respects to all the teachers for their efforts and contribution in shaping their lives. They presented them with tokens of appreciation, set the tone for the day with their warm and positive addresses. Many teachers spoke on the occasion and were touched by the thoughtfulness and gratitude shown by the students.

Recalling the college days, the particpants shared sweet memories, performed skit and singing, and kept themselves entertained throughout. All the particpants were given a souvenir. An elaborate lunch at the venue made the event more enjoyable.
