Mangaluru: The Department of Information Science & Engineering at Alva's Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mijar recently conducted Avani- ‘Kesard Onji Dina’, an event which celebrates games of the soil in coastal Karnataka. The event was conducted at the premises of Sri Vishnumurthy Temple, Thodar. Dr. Peter Fernandes, Principal AIET inaugurated the programme.
Avani hosted various traditional games like Kabaddi, Pale race, racing, Tug of War and other games like Volleyball and Throwball. Students of AIET enthusiastically participated in all the games and helped make it a grand success.
