Alva’s College journalism students top university ranks

Moodbidri: The students of the department of PG studies in Journalism and Mass communication of Alva’s college here have secured first three ranks in Mangalore University’s Master of Arts-Master of Communication and Journalism degree examination held in May 2017.

Shrigouri Joshi has scored 1515 (out of 2025) marks and ranked first in the University, while her batch mates Rachana K and Meghana S bagged second and third ranks with 1443 and 1427 marks respectively.

The university toppers attributed their success to the constant encouragement and motivation they received from their teachers and parents.

Chairman of the institution Dr M Mohan Alva, trustee Vivek Alva, principal Prof Kurian, department head Dr Moulya Jeevanram congratulated the students.
