Alvas team wins state-level men's ball badminton tourney

Mangaluru: Alvas team won the men's state-level ball badminton tournament held in Alvas college. As many as six teams participated in the tournament.

Alvas and Bengaluru Banashankari teams faced each other in first semi-finals. Alvas team advanced to finals by beating Bengaluru Banashankari team. Chamarajanagar and Canara bank teams competed in second semi-finals which Canara bank won and went to finals.

Alvas and Canara bank teams played for championships in finals. Alvas team won the first sent with 35-30 points. The team continued their good form in second sets also and won with 35-22 points. Canara bank team were secured the second place.
Ranjith of Alvas was the man of the match.

Ekalavya award winner Mohammed Ilian and Umesh Shetty presented awards to the winners.
