Udupi: National BJP president Amit Shah, who was in Udupi has expressed his dissatisfaction with BJP leaders in Karnataka. Addressing party workers, he said, "It is our duty to win and bring BJP to power everywhere in India. It is important to strengthen the party at the booth level. People of all communities have have gathered here for empowering the party and making it stronger. The BJP workers should work hard to ensure that BJP remains in power for more than 50 years. I am like a leech, I will not let anyone rest for two months till we get good results in the upcoming elections."

Expressing disappoinment with BJP leaders in Karnataka, especially state president B S Yeddyurappa, Amit Shah said, "I had assigned 23 formulae to Karnataka BJP president (Yeddyurappa) to execute, but the task is not yet completed. Hence I personally came to take charge of the constituencies of Karnataka. Should I go one step down to reach people? The head of a Shakti Kendra is the party president, he has the responsibility of making the party workers even more active. It is not enough to just shout ‘Bharath Mata Ki Jai’. You should work hard."

"BJP is working hard and putting in sincere efforts. The schemes introduced by the union government have become popular, so there is no doubt about our victory in the Assembly elections. Earlier, BJP had only 1.03% of the vote share in Manipur state, but now it has risen to 39%. In Uttar Pradesh BJP has 86% of the vote share. There is a possibility in Karnataka too of increasing BJP's share of the votes," he added.
