Astronomy workshop ‘Akasha Arivu’

Akasha Arivu’ one day workshop an Astronomy was held at St Agnes College. This was orgnaised in association with Pilikula Regional Science Centre, Mangalore University Physics Teachers Association, Ameture Astronomers Association Mangaluru and Kannada Sangha and Science Forum of the college.

Workshop was inaugurated by Dr B S Appaji Gowda, Joint Director of the Collegiate Education, Mangaluru. Dr K V Rao was the Chief Guest. Sr Dr M. Jeswina A.C. presided over the function. Dr Sampoornanda Balkur, convenor of the workshop welcomed the gathering and Dr K Shailaja proposed the vote of thanks. Miss Pinakini was the MC.

First session was taken by Dr Jayath H, Secretary Ameture Astronomers Association . Second session taken by Mr Jagadish, Curator of Pilikula Science Centre. In the afternoon first session bby Mr Rohith Rao and the next was taken by Mr Naveen Chandra. At the end Principal Sr Dr M. Jeswina A.C. given a concluded remarks and certificates were distributed to the participants.

Around 250 participants attended the workshop including college and high school teachers, college and high school students and general public.
