Award of PhD to Mr. Basthyam Pais of St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: Mr. Basthyam Pais, Department of Kannada, St Philomena College Puttur has been conferred with PhD Degree by Hampi Kannada University for his research work on “A Study of the Cultural Activities in Puttur Centre”

He hails from Aladangady, Belthangady Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District and is the proud son of Mr. Applu Pais(Late) and Mrs. Jobel Rodrigues. He is the alumnus of Government Higher Primary School Pilya, Government Pre University College Aladangady and Sacred Heart College Madanthyar. He completed his Post Graduate Studies in Madras University in 2003. He obtained his MPhil Degree from Hampi Kannada University in 2008. His spouse Mrs. Amritha Rashmi Fernandes is a Lecturer in Kannada at Government Pre University College Uppinangady. Their daughter Ms. Anvisha Sanika Pais studying in Sarswathi Kindergarten at Puttur make the full family. Mr. Basthyam Pais has been serving as the Vice President of Parish Council of Aladangady Church.
