Puttur: Under the auspices of the Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs of Dakshina Kannada District and the DK District Federation of Consumer Organizations(R), ‘World Consumer Day celebrations and award of Certificates on Consumer Education’ was organized on March 15, 2016 in DK Zilla Panchayat auditorium.

The CEO of DK Zilla Panchayat Ms. P I Sreevidhya honoured the Convenor of Suraksha Consumer Forum of St Philomena College Puttur Prof. Dinakara Rao for securing the District level ‘Best Club Coordinator’ and ‘Best Consumer Club’ awards of this academic year. She also distributed the Certificates to the students for successfully completing the certificate course on consumer education.

Prof. A M Khan, Registrar (Evaluation), Mangalore University, Mr. Ganesh B, Member Secretary, DK District Legal Services Authority, Mr. Raju Mogaveera, Deputy Director, Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Dr. Aruna Kamath, Principal, SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore and Dr. Muralidhara Rao, Principal, Govinda Das College Surathkal participated as the chief guests. Mr. M J Salian, President, D. K. District Federation of Consumer Organizations(R) presided over the programme. In this programme, 76 members of Suraksha Consumer Forum have participated.
