Mangaluru: In the eye of storm over filing of nomination by his brother, B M Farooq, for Rajya Sabha seat as an official candidate of JDS, Mangalore North MLA, B A Moideen, said that he remains loyal to the Congress. He said he will openly cast his vote during Rajya Sabha election to Congress candidate and prove his sincerity towards the party.
Giving clarification to media persons over this issue on Tuesday May 31, Moideen Bava confessed that indeed the chief minister had questioned him over his brother's candidature. He said that he had tried his best to dissuade his brother from contesting the election, but his efforts did not bear fruits.
" I am not involved with businesses of my brother either as a partner or in other capacities. I will be very happy if Congress candidates win Rajya Sabha election. If my brother wins, I will no doubt congratulate him," he stated.
