Udupi: It is happy to say that BJP has won two seats in three assembly by – elections. This election has been set back to the Congress. This by-election is indirectly favorable to the BJP in upcoming ZP and TP elections. It shows the sign of change in Karnataka politics, said Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, President of Udupi District Bharatiya Janatha Party.

He was addressing a press meet at BJP office that due to the internal fighting of the congress leaders, the BJP would gain large. During the BJP rule in Zilla Panchayat, there was no corruption and administered good rule. BJP’s three presidents maintained their position with the interests of the people with lots of welfare. Since five years there were no records of corruption.

He said that the Congress has given fake promises of hi-tech district hospital development at Udupi, supplying water from Varahi project and so on. We are going to win the ZP and TP elections, surely and once again rule ZP and TP. We have provided tickets to all communities either Muslims or Christians and also given tickets to winning candidates. We provided satisfactorily a election manifesto. Congress never had given anything according to their manifesto last election. So people have been losing faith in the congress.

There is an absolutely BJP wave in Udupi district when we understood during the election campaign. People want the rule of BJP in ZP and TP once again. Congress has lost their key supporters due to the Jayaprakash Hegde, who, expelled from the congress party. But independent MLA of Kundapur Halady Srinivas Shetty has given support of the ZP and TP candidates of BJP, which will be a good sign for the party.

Congress party in Byndoor is trying to distribute sarees to voters, which were caught by the workers of the BJP and complained to the election commission.

Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, Ravi Amin and Sandya Ramesh were present during the press meet.
