Bantakal Engineering College signs MoU with NEF, Washington DC

Udupi: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM) Bantakal has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with one of the world’s largest and renowned organisations 'National Education Foundation (NEF)' engaged in bridging the employability, digital and academic divides by providing high quality affordable 21st century online education with total solution model with blended learning in education and technology and awarding certificate through State University of New York for each of the successful students.

NEF is an established educational and skill development organization with the objective of establishing management institutions, colleges, centres for management studies and research with its motto 'quality education for all'. It is the world's leading non-profit organization aimed at bridging the employment, digital and academic divides by providing high quality, world-class, affordable 21st century online and blended learning education to millions of students and jobseekers in many countries including the US, India and Egypt. NEF has already been working with many renowned institutions in India like NITs existing in various states and the institutions of Manipal Group in its Jaipur campus. As per the MoU, NEF will impart the faculty, staff and students of the institutions promoted by Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi, with relevant IT skills, office productivity skills, digital literacy, capacity building for engineering students in the respective domains, program on enterprise and soft skills, setting up of NEF-SMVITM skill development centre of international standard and also providing digital literacy program to the high school and PU students of Shri Vishnumurthy Hayavadana Swamy High School and Pre-University College, Innanje, a sister organisation of SMVITM.

Prof Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, director of SMVITM signed the MoU on behalf of Shri H H Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, president and chairman of the governing council of SMVITM and Dr M B Gururaj, vice president, on behalf of NEF. Sri Raghavendra Tantri, management representative; prof Dr Thirumaleshwra Bhat, principal; prof Dr A Ganesha, dean academics; and HODs of various departments were present during the occasion.
