Bike rider killed in accident

Karkala: A two-wheeler rider lost his life at Kedinje in an unfortunate incident on Monday.

The deceased has been identified Ganesh Putran (41), resident of Omkar Nivasm Bharath Nagar, Bada Ermal. He was on his way from Karkala to Belman when a jeep approaching from the front hit his two-wheeler head on causing his death.

A case has been registered at Karkala rural police station.

Mangaluru: Bike rider died after accident involving a car and a two-wheeler on the National Highway 66 at Kapikad near Thokkottu on Monday.

The deceased is Manohar Belchada (50), a resident of Talapady Tachhani. Manohar who was critically injured in the mishap breathed his last while being rushed to a private hospital at Derlakatte after initial treatment at a local hospital.

He was employed abroad and his house warming ceremony was held just two days ago. A case has been registered.
