Bishop Emeritus of Jhansi Dr Frederick D’Souza passes away

Mangaluru: Bishop Emeritus of Jhansi Dr Frederick D’Souza passed away on Tuesday, July 12. He was 81 years of age and hailed from Siddakatte in Bantwal.

Frederick who was ordained as priest on January 1, 1961, became the Bishop of Jhansi on April 25, 1977 and retired in 2012. He was the son of late Sebastian and Monte Mary D’Souza.

Fr Frederick’s all four brothers were priests and three sisters were nuns.

Fuenral Mass will be held in St. Jude's Shrine, Jhansi, UP on Friday, July 15 at 10 am
