Blood Helpline Karnataka holds massive blood donation camp at Kuppepadavu

Mangaluru: Wenlock Hospital, here, in association with NFC Kuppepadavu and Blood Helpline Karnataka held a massive blood donation camp on Sunday April 29 at Kaveri Vidyalaya.

Khateeb Mohammad Haneef Khasim Ustad kick-started the event with an invocation and regular donor, Zakaria Acharyjora inaugurated the camp before proceeding to donate blood himself.

The headmaster of 'Samagama Seva Kendra', K Purushotham addressed the gathering. "Blood is of one colour only. It has no caste. It does not even have a distinction between vegetarian and non-vegetarian. There is no difference in the blood flowing in a person's body," he said.

Zakaria Acharyjora, who though blind, is a regular donor and was honoured by NFC president Mustafa and Mustafa Addooru Demmale, consultant at Blood Helpline Karnataka.

115 people donated blood at the camp. The blood bank officials and staff of Wenlock Hospital assisted in collecting and arranging the donated blood.

MLA B A Moideen, Suhail Kandar, M I Kuluvoor, Neelayam Agari, Shareef, Girish Alva, Abdul Razzak, Naushaad, Rafeeq Acharyjora, Rameez Kuppepadavu, Mustafa (president, NFC, Kuppepadavu), administrator of Blood Helpline Karnataka Mustafa Addooru Demmale, Yakub Faroz, Faisal Manchi, Sameer Seeko, Nasir BC Road, Imran Addooru and Nizam Thokuru were among the important dignitaries present.

The blood donors, organizers, volunteers and those directly and indirectly involved in the camp were rendered thanks wholeheartedly.
