Blood donation camp held at NMAMIT

Karkala: On the occasion of 155th Birthday of Swami Vivekananda, a blood donation camp was organized recently by National Service Scheme, Red Cross unit, AIMS in association with Nitte Gajria hospital, KSHEMA Deralakatte, Wenlock Hospital, Udupi District hospital at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar, principal NMAMIT in the presence of Prof Yogeesh Hegde, registrar, Nitte, Dr.Ramesh Mithantaya, vice-principal, Dr Sharath from Wenlock Hospital, Dr Veena from Udupi district hospital, Naresh Rai, administrator at Nitte Gajria, Dr Janardhan Nayak, coordinator NSS unit, Dr Mahadeve Gowda, coordinator, Red Cross unit, and Venkatesh Murthy, AIMS coordinator.

A total of 349 units of blood were collected during the blood donation camp.
