Byndoor MLA Gopal Poojary appointed as KSRTC Chairman

Kundapur: Byndoor MLA Gopal Poojary, a senior Congress leader has been appointed Chairman of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation. He will be taking charge of his new posting in Bengaluru on January 19.

Gopal Poojary, a hotelier by profession was aspired to be a state minister but was disappointed twice when Siddaramaiah had first opted for Vinay Kumar Sorake and then for Pramod Madhwaraj. The post of KSRTC Chairman’s which has been given to him at present is that of a cabinet rank.

Gopal Poojary expressed his happiness over the appointment and said he will work for the betterment of KSRTC. He also thanked Siddarammaih and Oscar Fernandes for giving him the responsibility.
