Car rams into two-wheeler; cousins die

Bantwal: Two persons were killed after a car rammed into their two-wheeler at Maira in Alake village, Vittal on Sunday March 6. The deceased have been identified as Umesh Naik (36) and his cousin Vasanth Naik (47), residents of Adkasthala.

The cousins were riding along Vittal-Kasargod road when a Swift car approaching from the opposite direction rammed into their two-wheeler.
The impact of the collision was such that both were killed on the spot.

The Swift car was speeding and was also on the wrong side of the road. The car driver, whose identity is not known, has been taken into custody.

Vittal police have registered a case.
