Caring is essence of nursing

Mangaluru: Jasmine Sarita Vas, principal, Father Muller School of Nursing, escorted the dignitaries to the dais and welcomed the gathering.

Chief guest, Lenet Castelino, Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, Internal Security of division, Pandeshwar, Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, FMCI, Jasmine Sarita Vas, principal, Father Muller School of Nursing, Nathalia Martis, the class coordinator and Sonia Agnes D’Souza, Asst lecturer, a representative from the new batch lit the lamp in a symbolic way.

The chief guest was introduced to the gathering by Sonia Agnes D’Souza.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Lenet Castelino said, “Caring is the essence of nursing. We need to greet the patients with a smile and respect them.”

Deeksha Salome shared the experience of 1st year GNM life.

Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, advised the students to take the life as a challenge by setting the example of Wilma Rudolph an American athlete and an Olympic .He wished them success. He also emphasized the freshers to build up spirituality and limit the use of mobiles.

Nathalia Martis, the class co-coordinator of 1st year GNM proposed the vote of thanks.

Refreshment was served to the audience. Shwetha compered the programme.
