Moodbidri: World Environment day and Vanamohotsava was recently celebrated under the initiative of Eco Club members of Carmel School, here.

The students presented a programme to create awareness among the children on the importance of these two days.

The deputy ranger of Moodbidri zone, Manjunath Ganiga was present as chief guest of the programme.

The children prepared for the educative programme with thoughts, interesting facts, songs, speech, skit on environment and dance to highlight the importance of Vanamohotsava. They were taken to the ground and around the school to plant saplings.

The range forest office contributed saplings and planted them with great enthusiasm. This was a great experience for the teachers and the students.
