'Celebration International Women’s Day at St Philomena College

Puttur: Women Empowerment Cell of St Philomena College puttur celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2016 in college auditorium.

The Principal of Vivekananda B.Ed College Dr. Shobhitha Sathish was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion she said, ‘Women play a vital role in the society. She has been playing multiple roles as mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and a professional in her respective role at work place. She has been bestowed with great power to transform the society.’

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the guest of honour. The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha presided over the programme.

The convenor of Women Empowerment Cell Prof. Venkateshwari K S was present on the occasion.

Ms. Sahana Rao and team sang the prayer song. Ms. Josvita Lorraine Lobo welcomed the gathering. Ms. Anarghya proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Elizabeth Sebastian compered the programme.

In second part of this programme, students have performed various cultural events like songs, dances and skits.
