Manipal: The State Commissions for Protection of Child Rights President Kripa Alva said she would try to convince the government to reimburse the medical expenses incurred following the tragic accident between a Maruti Omni and a private bus, killing eight children at Muwadi in Trasi on June 21.
Speaking after paying visit to the KMC, Manipal where two children are undergoing the treatment, Alva said, "The government should reimburse the treatment expenses incurred by six children who had a narrow escape from death. Of the six, four have been already discharged. I will talk to concerned officials regarding arranging school busses and also to avoid such mishaps in future."
Four-and-a-half-year-old Lisel Crasta is recovering in intensive care unit. While, another child Anson has been shifted to ward.
