Closing Ceremony of Vishwa Konkani Loka Kala Shigmotsav

Mangaluru, March 20: Two days Vishwa Konkani Loka Kala Shigmotsava which was held at Mumbai by the joint association of Konkani language and cultural foundation of Vishwa Konkani Centre and Department of Kannada and culture, Karnataka Government came to an end on Sunday evening. 

Albert W D’souza –the executive president of Model Bank presided over the function. During the occasion, industrialist Kishor G Masoorkar, K Shrinivasa Prabhu, N L Pal-the vice president of Shri samsthan Gokarna Parthagali Jeevothama Mutt Vadala, Mumbai and executive president of GSB Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava Committee, Sudha Pai-the Trustee of GSB Sabha, Basthi Vaman Shenoy –the founder president of Vishwa Konkani Centre, Vice-president Venkatesh N Baliga, Secretary Pradeep G Pai and B Prabhakar Prabhu and director of Kalaa Coast Group Sudhir Nayak were present at the dais. The senior director A G Kamath and Francis Fernandis Cassia were honored for their special achievement in theatre art form.

In the morning Konkani Kavigoshti, Sigmo Dance, Shri Krishna Janma Katha-a dance drama, Siddhi Damam dance, Gumta band music, a Konkani play “Varsaak Ek Paavnti”, Deepamaala dance and Gumta Dance were exhibited.

The organizer of the programme Dr Chandrashekar N Shenoy welcomed all. Shakunthala Kini and Ravi Nayak compered the programme. Kamalaksha G Saraf proposed the vote of thanks.
