"Competency mapping is key to organization success" Arun Chandukala, Head HR, Capgemini, Bengaluru

The Department of Business Administration of Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology at Mijar organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Competency Mapping- A Perspective” by Mr Arun Chendukala, HR head, Capgemini, Bangalore recently.

In his lecture, Mr Arun highlighted that a person’s attribute is the sum total of his behaviour, ability and attitude. Competency is adding attribute to one’s skill and knowledge. A competency model brings in standardisation in the system of an organization.

Mr Arun said, “Mapping identifies the roles and responsibilities of a particular job. Job dictionary describes each and every job competency. Core competency is the fundamental requirement to do any job, whereas technical and behavioural competencies are needed to excel in the job”.

Prof P Ramakrishna Chadaga, Dean MBA presided over the program. Swati anchored the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
