Congressmen gave memo to SP of Udupi against the local newspaper

Udupi : Udupi Block Congress Committee members gave memorandum to Annamalai, Superintendent of Police, Udupi district against the local newspaper on publishing false reports and supporting the communal disharmony and communal bad feelings which were published on 13th November, 2015. The memorandum was given to S.P. on Tuesday, 24th November, 2015.

Congressmen demanded action on the paper in regard to disruption of the communal feelings of the public which were published in leading local newspaper on the main page of the paper. It would be main intention to create communal disharmony with the public. It has clarified that there is no connection between the celebration of Tippu Jayanthi and the murder of Harish Poojary of Bantwal. Even though said murder has been in investigating procedures, this newspaper has always been publishing on the anti state government which is not justified and it will be a war against the state government, they said.

The congress delegates demanding to take action on the paper on IPC 121A, 120, 121, 124A, 153B, 504, 268, 105A, 505, 502, 501 and IT ACT Sec. 66A(6), 67 with the legal action.

Sathish Amin Padukere Udupi Block congress President, Divakar Kunder, ZP member, P. Yuvaraj, President of Udupi Municipal Council, Amrutha Krishnamurthi Acharya, Vice President CMC, Amruth Shenoy, Janardhan Bhandarkar, Ramesh Kanchan, Sujay Poojary, Denish Puthran and other congress leaders were present at SP office, Udupi.
