Convocation Day held for tiny tots at Lourdes Central School

Mangaluru: The Convocation Day of the kindergarten section of Lourdes Central School (LCS) was held on Tuesday.

Students of KG 2 dressed up in their little graduation clothes marched down the aisle along with their teachers and guests.

The programme was graced by manager Fr Wilson Vitus L D’Souza, principal Fr Robert D’Souza and the chief guest Vidyashree B.

The venue glittered with the smiles of tiny tots and proud parents. The event of the auspicious day began with a prayer song ‘Bless the Lord of my Soul’. The guests and parents were genially welcome by the little graduates of KG 2.

Principal Fr Robert D’Souza, introduced the esteemed chief guest Vidyashree B to the gathering.

On behalf of all the little graduates three students Josh John Fernandes, Nathan John, Minal Maxin shared their experiences at LCS kindergarten and thanked the management, teachers and the ancillary staff for all the support and encouragement that they received during the two years of their kindergarten life. Usha P R, Dr S Sujatha, and Ujwal Pradeep shared their views and joyous experiences of the past two years at LCS Kindergarten. Then the little graduates were honoured with the graduation certificates by the chief guest, the principal and the president of the function.

Chief guest Vidyashree B spoke about school as the second home to learn, grow and bloom. She also said that LCS is the best shelter for academics as well as co-curricular activities. She expressed that it is the duty of the parents to make the child learn to listen, focus and express his/her views and to be the role model to their kids.

Manager Fr.Wilson Vitus L D’Souza was impressed and congratulated the children on their performance. In his presidential address he told the parents about the vision and mission of the school. He said that school is the temple of learning which imparts values and makes a difference. He thanked the entire team of kindergarten for their hard work, dedication and commitment towards making the event a memorable one.

The students of KG 1 entertained the gathering with a song and beautiful dance presentation. The programme came to an end when a student of KG 2 rendered the vote of thanks followed by the national anthem. The programme was compered by Gloria Misquith and Vanita Patole.
