Cultural activities mark Teachers' Day celebration at Anandathirtha Vidyalaya

To celebrate the birth of India’s great son, Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the students of Anandathirtha Vidyalaya at Pajaka- Kunjarugiri, Udupi had planned a unique way. They took the role of teachers and conducted various activities and events on September 5th.

Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the event, Chief Guest and veteran Yakshagana teacher Shri Keshava Rao said, “A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide who holds our hand, opens our mind, and touches our heart. The contribution of a teacher cannot be ignored at all. It is in our age old culture that teachers have to be kept at the highest pedestal.”

Chief Administrator of the institute Gurudatt Somayaji stressed that teachers are making the greatest of all sacrifices and their contributions have to be valued. Teachers are a true symbol of dedication, he added.

Principal Geetha Kotian delivered the presidential remarks. All teachers and students were present on the occasion. The inauguration was followed by singing, dancing and skit performances by students. There were also patriotic songs and short plays.
