Udupi :On Palm Sunday, 20th March, 2016 devotional Konkani play “Sadeiv Marihe” was held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church campus. The said play written by Walter Montiero, the writer of the famous hit Konkani play “Segunachi Soon” and directed by Prof. Vincent Alva Pamboor and song lyric by Rev Fr. Clement Masarenhas.

Prior to the drama play, short stage programme was held where Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, Msgr Dr. Baptist Menezes, Vicar General of Udupi Diocese, Very Rev Fr. Fredrick Macarenhas, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Rev Fr. Royston Fernandes, Asst. Parish Priest of Udupi Church, Boniface D’Souza, Vice President of Udupi Parish Pastoral Council, Walter Monteiro, Prof Vincent Alva and Rev Fr. Clement Mascarenhas were present.

During his address, Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo outlined the faith of Mother Mary. He explained the three kinds of devotion of Mother Mary that were Faith, Amen and Mother Mary’s praising hymn to God.

Very Rev Fr. Fred Macarenhas welcomed the gathering. During the occasion, Walter Monteiro, Prof Vincent Alva and Fr. Clement Mascarenhas was felicitated by the Bishop for their contribution to the devotional drama in regard to Mother Mary.

Gratian Buthello compered the programme. Large number of people witnessed the faith of Mother Mary upto death of her son, Jesus Christ through the one of the best drama played.
