Dr Sunil Furtado delivers guest lecture at FMMCH

Mangaluru: Department of General Surgery, Father Muller Medical College, on Saturday, held a guest lecture at the hospital's conference hall.

Dr Sunil Furtado, consultant neurosurgeon, M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, delivered a lecture on 'Subarachnoid Hemorrhage and Brain Vascular Bypass – Management for Cerebral Ischaemia'.

Dr Madhukar Nayak, professor and consultant neurosurgeon and Dr Raghavendra B S, consultant neurologist, Father Muller Medical College moderated the session.

The programme began with a prayer song by final year MBBS students. Dr Leo Francis Tauro, professor and head of department of Surgery, welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by Dr Monalisa D’Souza, postgraduate resident. Dr Shubha N Rao, professor, department of Surgery, proposed the vote of thanks.

All staff members, postgraduates from department of Surgery, house Surgeons and final year students were present for the lecture. A total of 80 delegates attended the lecture.
