Puttur: India is an agriculture-dominant country. However, paddy cultivation has been witnessing a marked decline over the years.
This is a matter of concern for the country. In this context, it is considered necessary to organize an awareness programme on the significance paddy cultivation. The members of Eco Club of St Philomena College Puttur took part in planting of paddy seedlings in Bellare of Puttur Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District on August 14, 2016. The owner of the land Mr. Karthik and Ms. Shaila made necessary arrangements for the successful execution of this programme. The convenors of Eco Club Mr. Nagaraju M, Ms. Rakshitha R B and Ms. Shashiprabha coordinated the programme.
