Ek Dis Gadyanth", Diocese level ICYM rural games at Kera on 23rd October

Udupi: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of Kera unit of Karkala Deanery to organize Udupi Diocese level “Ek Dis Gadyanth” (One day in paddy field) at Kera near Karkala on Sunday, 23rd October, 2016, said Denzil Mascarenhas, ICYM Secretary.

Speaking with media persons at Udupi press club, he said that the rural games for around 500 youths from around 25 units of the Udupi diocese will be held at Kera which includes several rural games for both men and women of ICYM members. Volley Ball, running race, phyramid and tug of war for men and throw ball, tug of war, running race and other rural games.

The rural games will be inaugurated by Anup D’ Costa of Pius Nagar, Kundapura, Volley Ball International player and Ekalavya award winner, where Very Rev Fr. Mosgr. Dr. Baptist Menezes will preside.

Guests of honor will be Ajith Hegde, President of Mala Grama Panchayat, Smt. Geetha Patkar, President of Mudyaru Grama Panchayat, Smt. Saubagya Madiwal, member of Karkala Taluk Panchayat.

During the valedictory programme at evening, Rev Fr. Pascal Menezes,Parish Priest of St. Theresa Church, Kera will preside and Rev Fr. Jerome Montiero parish priest of Miyar Church, Celestine Menezes member of Mala grama panchayat will be the guests of honor.
