Employability course held at Mahesh College of Management

Mangaluru: On Friday August 26, P Jayashankar Rai, the general manager (HR), Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers as well as member of the advisory board of Mahesh College of Commerce and Management, inaugurated an Employability Enhancement Certification Programme for final year BCom students conducted by Centre for Learning and Advanced Preparation (CLAP).

It is a unique 50 hrs programme scheduled from August 2016 to March 2017 that emphasises on continuous improvement of the students. The main focus is on progress in five basic employability categories such as communication, critical thinking and decision making, innovation and initiative, self-management and interpersonal skills.

Speaking on the occasion, Rai said that along with knowledge from books, students should utilize the opportunities provided by the college to enhance their logical thinking, right decision making and proper action plan capacity with appropriate vision in life.

G S Sreekiran, director of CLAP was the guest of honour. He too spoke on the benefits and support that students will get from their training resources.

Professor Herald Fernandes, principal, welcomed the initiative of the management in organising such a programme in the college that will help in individual development and prepare the students for their dream employment.

Sandhyarani, the co-ordinator of the programme expressed gratitude.

Ratan and Yusra Banu compered the programme.
