Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme held at XITC

Mangaluru: A seminar on Entrepreneurship Awareness organised under the joint leadership of Department of Industries and Commerce, Bengaluru, DIC, Mangalore Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of Karnataka (CEDOK), Dharwad and Xavier Industrial Training Centre, Asaigoli, Mangaluru for students, was held at XITC, Asaigoli on Tuesday, April 4.

Aravinda Baleri, joint director, CEDOK, emphasised the importance of self-employment. Sathish Maben, training officer, CEDOK, conducted the entrepreneurship awareness programme with an interactive session. Ronald Mendonca, principal consultant and career coach at Smart Solutions, Mangaluru, enlightened the students on entrepreneurship. Brian Vas, proprietor of 'Vas and Sons' inaugurated the new photocopying machine donated by (late) Rose Vas to the Institute.

Chairman of XET, JJV Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Secretary of XET, F M Lobo delivered the vote of thanks. Shivanand, JTO compered the programme. Treasurer of XET, Michael T Mascarenhas, trustee Ronald Fernandes, principal of XITC, Sudhir Raj B Kotian, Paul D’Souza, Caroline Vas, Mira Nayak, Pearl D’Souza were present.
