Expert College alumni relive college days at 'Ex-Milan 2017'

Mangaluru: Expert Pre-University College, Valachil hosted 'Ex-Milan 2017', a programme to mark the reunion of its first batch of alumni. ‘Proud Expertians’ pursuing Medical, Engineering afd various other courses all over India, thronged to their alma mater to partake in this heart-warming and poignant homecoming ceremony.

 

The formal session began with the college anthem. A documentary providing memorable snapshots of the magical moments spent by the alumni at Expert was screened thereafter, which took all of them on a nostalgic trip down the memory lane.

Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice-chairperson in her inaugural address termed 'Ex-Milan 2017' a big day, because such occasions strengthen the friendship amongst the alumni besides forging an everlasting bond between the alumni and their alma mater. She also advised the alumni to conduct community outreach activities and social service programmes under the banner of Expert Alumni Association.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, in his presidential address evinced delight on meeting the alumni again, in a relaxed atmosphere, bereft of any kind of restriction. At the same time, he reminded the alumni that adherence to values taught at Expert viz. discipline, hard work, focus etc will continue to benefit them all through their lives.

Dr N K Vijayan, principal addressed the gathering and expressed his happiness over the grand success of the event. Reassuring the alumni of Expert’s unconditional love and support, he invited them to play a proactive role in the growth of the institution.

Nishanth Bhat also shared his experiences as the president of Expert Alumni Association (Kodialbail Chapter) and apprised the alumni of Valachil Chapter of their duties and responsibilities.

Avin V and Varsha Rao U B who spoke on behalf of the alumni, shared their views about the positive impact of Expert on their lives.

Suresh Pai, trustee of Expert Group of Institutions and Navin Mallya, secretary of Expert Alumni Association (Kodialbail Chapter) graced the programme. Sheryl Florence D’Souza, chemistry faculty and programme director of 'Ex-Milan 2017' welcomed the gathering. Anmol Murali, president of Expert Alumni Association (Valachil Chapter) proposed the vote of thanks. Druthi V Hegde, chemistry faculty compered the programme.

The alumni posed for a keepsake group photograph with the chairman and the vice-chairperson. They also took part in several fun games and grooved to the catchy baila music. A grand dinner was served at the end of the programme.
