FEMA Exhibition cum interface programme inaugurated at Manipal.

Manipal : Reserve Bank of India, Bengaluru organized FEMA Exhibition cum Interface programme at Golden Jubilee Auditorium, Syndicate bank Head Office, Manipal on Friday, 19th February, 2016. Shri Eugene E. Karthak, Regional director of Reserve Bank of India, Bangaluru presided the occasion.

Arun Shrivastava, Managing Director and CEO of Syndicate Bank inaugurated the occasion with lighting the lamp. The programme started with an invocation prayer by Smt. Vidhyalakshmi of Kotak Mahindra Bank.

During his inaugural address, Arun Shrivastava gave gratitude to Reserve Bank of India for giving opportunity to conduct the programme in Syndicate Bank. He wished to organize the occasion with great success and to important bankers as well as the students who are present.

In his chief guest address, A. K. Pandey, Chief General Manager of Reserve Bank of India, Foreign Exchange Department, Mumbai said that the rules and regulations of the foreign exchange should be made easy in Foreign Exchange Management Act 2009. Hence it will help the growth of business and trading. The trading in international market also increased. RBI will act as gatekeeper of Indian commercial banks.

Eugene E. Karthak during his presiding address warned the members of public that due to the development of technological information system, people should not be in the midst of problems and disaster. The use of electronic media like face book, whatsapp and other one can avail the ATM Pin number, through the internet declaring the various prizes, gift offers and so on. The people should not go in any kind of these offers. Reserve Bank of India’s latest knowledge that some of foreign countries are with the help of internet giving false promises to the availability of the jobs in the bank. People should be aware that with the help of internet, the details of ATM, withdrawal of cash from the account is also held in various occasion.

A.O.Baseer, Reserve Bank of India, General Manger of Department of Foreign Exchange, Mumbai, Shri Sudhaanshu Prasad, General Manager, RBI were present on the dais.

Earlier, Sudhaanshu Prasad gave key note address on FEMA regulations and welcomed the gathering. Reserve Bank of India’s, Assistant Manager Bengaluru delivered vote of thanks. Sylvester D’Souza, RBI Mumbai compered the programme.
